After secondary and higher secondary examinations, the results for the ICSE (10th) and ISC (12th) examinations were released on schedule this year.


This year, the results for the 10th-grade examinations were announced 37 days after the exams concluded, while the 12th-grade results were declared 48 days after the exams ended. On Monday, May 6, at around 11 AM, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) held a press conference at their New Delhi office to announce the merit list for 2024.

In 2023, the overall pass rate for the 10th grade was 98.94 percent, which has increased to 99.47 percent this year. Additionally, the pass rate for the Bengali language is 99.22 percent.



This year, the total number of candidates for the 10th-grade exams was 243,617, comprising 130,506 boys (53.57 percent) and 113,111 girls (46.43 percent). Among them, 242,328 students passed the exams.


On the other hand, the total number of candidates for the 12th grade was 99,901, with 52,765 boys (52.82 percent) and 47,136 girls (47.18 percent). This year, 98,088 students passed the 12th-grade exams.


This year, the ICSE (10th) exams included 60 subjects, and the ISC (12th) exams were conducted in a total of 47 subjects. The 10th-grade exams were held from February 21 to March 28, and the 12th-grade exams from February 12 to April 3.


It was noted that the girls outperformed the boys in the 10th-grade exams. The pass rate for girls was 99.65 percent, while for boys, it was 99.31 percent. Similarly, in the 12th grade, the girls led with a pass rate of 98.92 percent compared to the boys’ pass rate of 97.53 percent.
